1st 9 Weeks AR Celebrations

This 1st 9 weeks saw more students making their goal than ever at Midway Middle School! To celebrate (and in keeping with our Dive Into Reading theme) the students were treated to a field trip to North Tybee Island. The Oatland Island Interpretive Center gave the students lessons on barrier island dynamics. Concepts like waves, currents, erosion, tides, moon phases, storm surge, plant and animal life and much more were discussed with the students. Because of the large number of students the trip was spread out into 2 days, October 21 and 22.
